FASHION: My Go-To beauty faves!

As I was at Sephora the other day, discovering and re-discovering some of my favourite beauty products, I had an epiphany and decided to write a post on my most loved beauty products. Now as some of you may know, I do not wear a lot of make-up. This is predominately because I do not know how to apply it properly, but what I do have in my cosmetics bag are the top beauty products that are super light-weight and make you feel like you are wearing nothing at all (on your face)!

Best Moisturizer With SPF:

LAVANILA sunscreen

Best Tinted Moisturizer:

I have found my NEW favourite product. NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer is one for the make-up bags. This cream is the perfect boost for skin both in terms of colour and of luminosity. I absolutely love the “dewy” look, and not only does it go on smooth, but the tint leaves a very light foundation finish – without the foundation. This way, you are able to hide blemishes while leaving your skin hydrated with a healthy glow. You can find this product at Sephora. $45
*This is the American Sephora website, and in Canada, the tinted moisturizer is not made with SPF 30. Sephora in Canada does sell the product.
Best BB Cream:
What is a BB Cream? “BB” stands for Beauty Balm and in a nutshell BB cream is a moisturiser, primer, foundation, and sunblock all in one product. Perfect for those on-the-go or people who do not want a ton of products in their make-up bag. This BB cream is very similar to a tinted moisturizer, but with a little more staying power due to the primer, a higher SPF, and lots of lovely skin boosting ingredients slung in for good measure! My pick? Dr. Jart+’s Premium BB Cream SPF 45. Sephora Canada also carries this product. $39
Best Eyeliner:
Geisha Ink! This liquid eyeliner is foolproof. Geisha Ink Liquid Eyeliner is a 24-Hour water and smudge-proof formula that delivers effortless and precise application with its revolutionary microfiber brush tip. Perfect every time! Found at Beauty Mark. $30
Best Mascara:
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara. Seriously. This wondrous mascara and lash treatment works both instantly, and overtime to help your lashes grow while keeping them in place. The brush is fine and it never clumps! I am literally on my 6th tube of this stuff! Not irritating what-so-ever either. Find this product at London Drugs, Shoppers Drug Mart, and/or Superstore. $8
Best Lip Chap:
Sadly, I do not have a recommendation for lip gloss or lipstick because I do not wear either. Instead, I make sure to treat my lips right by only using the best! I use the Innisfree Canola Honey lip balm stick.
Best Blush:
CHANEL Blush Horizon de Chanel. Hands down, the best! This amazing blush is part of the Chanel Spring 2012 collection and is just ideal for that glowing and dewy Spring/Summer look. This particular Chanel blush colour blends into a shimmering and illuminating dusky peach pink, and the formula is finely milled so that it feels silky upon application and naturally blends into the cheek leaving a healthy and radiant finish. Love it! Available at Holt Renfrew. $65
 Best Bronzer:
Two Faced “California in a Compact” Beach Bunny Bronzer. I especially like this bronzer because it does not streak orange. I have always been partial to subtle bronzers, and this one does the trick. The light pink warms your face up, while the other hues give you a sun-kissed shimmer. Found at Sephora. $29
Pick up these products and let me know what you think!

  1. I think everything said made a great deal of sense.
But, consider this, supppose you composed a caychier post title?
I ain’t suggesting your information isn’t good., however suppose you added something that makes people want more?
I mean FASHION: But really, beauty. | Thee Cardinal Blog is
a little vanilla. You ought to look at Yahoo’s frknt page and see how they
create post heeadlines to get viewers too click.
You might add a video or a picture or two to gett people excited about what you’ve ggot to say.
Just my opinion, it could make your posts a little livelier.

    1. Thank you Ellis for the constructive comments! I would like to think of my blog not as an in-your-face advertisement of products, but more of an interesting and clean-looking informational blog, if that makes sense. It may seem a tad “vanilla”, but I think the simplicity of my blog is less overwhelming when compared to things like Yahoo’s front page. I did however change the name of that beauty post!
